We use competitive bidding for one-time purchases and yearly contracts. Bids for most annual contracts are advertised during the months of February – May. Bids for one-time purchases are advertised throughout the year.

Monitoring Bids

There are four ways you can find out which items are out for bid:

• Journal Record newspaper
  Items for bid are published in the Journal Record each week, under Public Notices, usually the Wednesday edition.
  
• City Clerk
  A list of bid items is available at no charge from the City Clerk's Office. The list is updated every Wednesday afternoon.
  
• Bidders' hotline, 405-297-BIDS (2437)
  This 24-hour recorded message lists items to be bid during the next two weeks. The message is updated every Wednesday.
  
• Webpage for bids, auctions and sales
  Bid packets are posted to the City’s website every Wednesday afternoon. Bid packets can be downloaded here.
