Animal Shelter plans “Brown Bag Special” this weekend

(May 2, 2006) - The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter will stage a “Brown Bag Special” from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Petsmart at I-40 and MacArthur.

All the shelter’s brown or partially-brown cats and dogs will be up for adoption for $25 each. Adoption fees normally range up to $65 depending on the pet’s age and how long it’s been at the shelter.

All the pets have been spayed or neutered and will be ready to go home with their new owners. Potential adopters will be able to browse the pets under a tent set up in the parking lot. There will be balloons and free activities for kids as well.

The first one hundred adopters will get ‘brown bags’ of free pet supplies.
