(November 9, 2007) - Oklahoma City Ward 3 Councilman Larry McAtee, Ward 4 Councilman Pete White and Ward 6 Councilwoman Ann Simank will host community meetings for their wards on the City’s 2007 bond program.
The meeting schedule is as follows:
Ward 3 – Nov. 19, 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Hills Elementary, 2909 Ann Arbor
Ward 4 – Nov. 20, 6:30 p.m. at Southeast High School, 5401 S Shields
Ward 6 – Nov. 27, 6:30 p.m. at Northwest Baptist Church, 3030 NW 23rd
Ward 6 – Nov. 29, 6:30 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church, 1320 SW 38
City staff will explain each of the 11 propositions that will appear on the December 11 ballot and answer questions about the proposed bond program. If passed the 2007 bond program will provide $835.5 million in long-term funding for the City’s infrastructure without raising City property taxes.
The bond propositions were set based on feedback from the 2006 citizen survey, City Council strategic priorities, city manager and department priorities and impact on the operating budget.
