Web page launched for City bond election

(November 15, 2007) - Oklahoma City voters now have an on-line resource for information about the City’s upcoming bond election.

A new Web page, located on Oklahoma City’s Web site at www.okc.gov/bonds2007, was launched recently to provide citizens with detailed information about each bond project.

The Web resource contains a list of proposed projects, official ballot language for the 11 propositions, frequently asked questions and a schedule of community meetings.

The site also allows citizens to ask questions, comment or request a presentation.

If approved on December 11, the bond program will provide $835.5 million to fund infrastructure improvements without raising the City property tax rate.  More than half of the bonds are allocated toward street repair.
