Water main break affects customers in southeast Oklahoma City

(November 20, 2007) - A 72-inch transmission water main near SE 164 between Sooner and Sunnylane was accidentally damaged earlier today, leaving about 60 residents without water.  Customers in south Oklahoma City may experience slightly lower-than-normal water pressure until the main is repaired. 

To restore water to the impacted residents, the damaged line will be temporarily connected to a City of Moore main.  Water should be restored later this afternoon or evening.

Repairs to the damaged 72-inch main will be made over the next few days.
