(March 31, 2008) - Spring has sprung and that means it’s time to plant! To get your garden looking its best, the Myriad Botanical Gardens is hosting its Plant & Garden Sale April 10 and 11.
The Plant & Garden sale, held in the South Lobby of the Crystal Bridge, will help gardeners jump-start their green space this spring with a wide variety of annuals, perennials, bedding plants, accessories and more. The sale takes place 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 10 and 11. No admission is required to attend the sale.
New this year, the sale will also offer a selection of succulents - including aloes, agaves, jades and more - straight from the Myriad Gardens’ very own greenhouses.
In addition, free informational sessions will be conducted at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each sale day to teach shoppers how to care for their new plants. The 10 a.m. session will demonstrate how to set up container gardens and the 2 p.m. session will teach basic care of annuals and perennials. Both sessions will last 20 minutes and be held in the South Lobby. No registration is required.
The Myriad Botanical Gardens’ staff and knowledgeable volunteers will also be on-hand to offer gardening and plant purchasing advice throughout the sale.
Proceeds from the sale benefit educational programming at the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
