Last phase of two-way conversion begins July 7
(July 1, 2008) - Five downtown streets will have limited access from July 7-11 as contractors begin the last phase of a one-way to two-way street conversion project.
In this final phase, contractors will be re-striping the streets. On-street parking will be restricted during the painting process. The conversion project wraps-up on Saturday, July 12, weather permitting, and streets will open as two-way roads.
The downtown streets to be converted on July 12 are:
- North Hudson Avenue from NW 6th Street to NW 13th Street
- North Harvey Avenue from NW 6th Street to NW 13th Street
- North Robinson Avenue from NW 6th Street to NW 13th Street
- NW 5th Street from North Western Avenue to North Walker Avenue
- NW 6th Street from North Western Avenue to North Oklahoma Avenue
The change is geared to boost safety, improve traffic flow and provide easier access to downtown businesses.
