The class is free and open to the public.
“This is an opportunity for residents to learn how a city of half a million people is run and how they can get involved in the democratic process,” said City Manager Jim Couch. “People are surprised to learn that more than 400 residents guide decision making by sitting on our trusts, boards and commissions.
Speakers include Ward 3 Councilman Larry McAtee, City Manager Jim Couch and City Clerk Frances Kersey. The class will wrap up with Assistant City Manager Cathy O’Connor, who will address the City’s growth and economic development.
