Goodwill Industries to announce move
Agency will make way for Core to Shore project

Oklahoma Goodwill Industries and the City of Oklahoma City

 

WHAT:          

Mayor Cornett and Oklahoma Goodwill CEO Heather Rennebohm will host a joint news conference to announce Goodwill’s move to the former Ben E. Keith building, 316 S. Blackwelder.

 

The City purchased the Goodwill building in April 2009 for $2.3 million to make way for the development of Core to Shore.

 

Oklahoma City’s Core to Shore plan encompasses a 590-acre area impacted by the realignment of Interstate 40.   The plan will connect downtown with the Oklahoma River through a series of park connections that include a 40-acre civic park, world-class boulevard, and an iconic pedestrian bridge.  A new convention center and commercial, retail and residential developments are also part of the plan.

The news conference will be held in the sheltered workshop room on the first floor at Goodwill.  Check in at the front desk and you’ll be guided to the workshop. The news conference is expected to last 20 minutes.
