(October 29, 2009) - Officials at Will Rogers World Airport will conduct an exercise disaster drill on terminal ramp area nine at 9 a.m. today. The exercise is anticipated to last 1 – 2 hours.
The exercise drill is a Federal Aviation Administration requirement that must be accomplished every three years in order for the Airport to maintain its Operating Certificate so that it can serve scheduled airline service at the airport.
The drill is helpful in evaluating the Airport’s emergency plans and how well coordination and procedures are used by the Airport, its tenants, and other outside agencies that may be required to respond to an emergency.
