METRO Transit Announces Service Changes

2010 Winter/Spring Service Changes Affect Seven Bus Routes

(January 21, 2010) - In order to better serve existing and potential bus passengers, METRO Transit is modifying some bus routes effective Sunday, January 31, 2010.

METRO Transit will implement minor service changes (schedules adjusted by five minutes or less) on bus routes 13 and 18. To provide better options, midday trips on routes 10 and 13 have been moved to peak times. Route or bus stop changes will take place on routes 1, 11, 12, 13, 15, 51 and the Blue Line Trolley. The weekday lunchtime Red Line Trolley will be discontinued.  See the attachment for details.

Passengers are encouraged to sign-up for METRO Transit’s new MYride Alert program. MYride is a free alert program that provides email and wireless updates to members on important service related news directly to their desktop or wireless device. The public can sign up for MYride alerts by visiting gometro.org.

For detailed information on the route and schedule changes passengers should refer to updated route schedules, available at the service counter in the Downtown Transit Center at 420 NW 5th St.  Information is also available online by visiting www.gometro.org or calling 405/297-7433 (RIDE) or 405/297-2602 (TDD).
