School patrons, PTA’s, neighborhood groups and the general public are encouraged to participate.
Community meetings begin with the planning phase and continue through final design for each new project.
(Community meetings are held from 6 – 7 PM at the designated school.)
The meetings are hosted by The Facility Group (MAPS for Kids program consultant) and the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area Public Schools Trust (OCMAPS) Project Office. In an effort to gain input from school administrators, teachers, students, parents and community members, four community meetings are being held for each school that will either be rebuilt for fully renovated. The meetings include: Planning and Programming Discussion, Schematic Design Presentations, Preliminary Design Presentations and the Final Design Review.
As planning begins for the MAPS for Kids renovations at Eugene Field Elementary School, parents, teachers, staff and the public are encouraged to take part in the process by attending and providing feedback at the first of four community meetings. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, at 6 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria, 1515 N. Klein Avenue. Meeting planners will review the educational specifications process as well as provide patrons with a preliminary concept of facility plans for the school. If you have any questions concerning the MAPS for Kids Program, please contact the OCMAPS Office at 297-3461.
