Oklahoma City's Studio Architecture designed the park in coordination with Site Design Group, an award-winning landscape architecture firm that has designed more than 50 skateparks around the country. Designers received input from local skaters and BMX'ers at public meetings held in December, 2002 and April, 2003.
The park is one of the General Obligation Bond projects approved by voters in December of 2000.
