Portions of this trail follow along the street on Wilshire Boulevard, and Council Road near Wiley Post Airport. The trail will roughly follow the water diversion canal between the two recreation areas.

Parking Areas: Parking areas are located on the east side of Lake Hefner near Britton and on the northeast side of Lake Overholser.

Attractions: The northern tip of the Hefner-Overholser
Trail connects with the Lake Hefner Trails at Britton Road on the west side
of Lake Hefner. There, visitors can enjoy fishing, sail boating, the Lake
Hefner Golf Course, Stars and Stripes Park and the Lions' Children's
Playground. On the east side of the trail, there are also several
restaurants for visitors to enjoy. The northern portion of the trail
connects with the Lake Hefner Trails, which circle the lake, providing ample
room for runners, skaters and bicyclists.
Riding around Lake Overholser, you can stop and enjoy Overholser Park and
Route 66 Park. Other activities in the area include fishing, tennis and
canoeing or kayaking in the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge.
