The Plumbing Code Review and Appeals Commission reviews the City’s plumbing code and recommends changes to the Council; hears appeals of City decisions based on the plumbing code, plumbing license suspensions and revocations by the City’s Chief Plumbing Inspector. All of the Board’s five members have at least five years experience in the plumbing industry and are familiar with City and State plumbing codes. Two of the members must be professional engineers registered with the State, two members must be licensed plumbing contractors and one must be a journeyman plumber. All members are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council to three-year terms. The Commission meets on an as-needed basis.
