The Mayor of Oklahoma City appoints over 500 residents to over 50 boards, trusts, commissions and committees. These entities oversee critical City functions and advise the Mayor and Council on major initiatives. Our City cannot function without our appointees, and serving on a City board, trust, commission or committee is an excellent way to serve your community.
If you wish to let the Mayor know of your interest in serving on a particular board, completing this application is a way to accomplish that. Please keep in mind that appointments are ultimately at the sole discretion of the Mayor and that a position you are interested in may already be filled at this time. There is no process for acknowledging your expression of interest, but sometimes applications are reviewed when there are vacancies. After completing this form, it is advisable to also send an email expressing your interest to mayor@okc.gov. It is also advisable to renew your application here from time to time. Sometimes, it can take years for a certain position to open up.
