The Oklahoma City Planning Commission guides the comprehensive planning and development of the Oklahoma City area.  It also formulates and implements land-use plans and subdivision regulations, and makes zoning recommendations to the City Council.   The Mayor appoints the nine Commissioners with consent of Council.  Ordinances require that there be at least one member from each City ward and that Commission membership includes members of the Board of Adjustment and the Historic Preservation Commission.  The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
