The Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Commission promotes Oklahoma City as a tourist and convention city by developing advertising and promotional materials and programs, and works to bring conventions and trade show events to the City. The seventeen member commission consists of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, the Hotel/Motel Association, restaurant and visitor related businesses, the City Manager, a council member and five citizens appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Council. The Commission meets the third Thursday of even months at 10 a.m.
