Animal Welfare Department MenuVeterinary Care
It's important to establish your pet as a patient with a local veterinarian for regular checkups, vaccinations and treatment for any medical issues.
It's ultimately your responsibility to determine if you have the financial flexibility to support your pet's veterinary needs.
We don't endorse specific veterinarians or provide veterinary care for your pet after it has left our Shelter's care. Our veterinary staff evaluates and treats the animals currently housed at the Animal Shelter. Pets adopted from the Animal Shelter can get a free wellness exam from a participating veterinarian.
You can look at our Events Calendar for information about upcoming low-cost veterinary service and vaccination events.
Low-cost vaccines and emergency veterinary care may occasionally available through some local organizations and veterinary clinics, including:
- The Bella Foundation
- Central Oklahoma Humane Society
- Best Friends Animal Clinic
- Animal Wellness Center
- Spay Oklahoma
