Real estate developer General Grant Corbin came to Oklahoma City from Altus, Oklahoma with his wife Annie in 1919. Corbin developed several neighborhoods during the 1920s and 1930s including this one, Corbin Park addition. The Corbins were generous and civic-minded and they donated the land for this park and nearby E. B. Jeffery Park at NW 16 and Meridian in 1930.
