Park Department MenuBerta Faye Rex Quail Creek Park
Berta Faye Rex was a deeply dedicated community leader committed to improving education for all children in Oklahoma City. She was equally generous in her devotion to community organizations such as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Society, Allied Arts, and United Way. Berta Faye always had time for her neighbors, and she saw Quail Creek Park as the focal point for families and friends to come together on Independence Day as the organizer of the annual Quail Creek 4th of July Parade. Residents and vehicles of all kinds decked out in red, white and blue, marched through the neighborhood, finally arriving at Quail Creek Park where everyone enjoyed a picnic, a band and other patriotic festivities.
Quail Creek Park was donated to the city in 1964 soon after the Quail Creek neighborhood was built. It was renamed Berta Faye Rex Quail Creek Park by the city council in 2016.
