MAPS 4 will replace the aging arena at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds with a new coliseum. The Jim Norick Arena opening in 1964 and has historically has the largest economic impact of all publicly owned facilities in Oklahoma City. The new coliseum will be the new home of major national, state and local events and will continue to attract visitors from around the world who boost the local economy with their spending. The new 216,164-square-foot coliseum will be built to the south of the Jim Norick Arena and come all the way up to the footprint of the current arena.
The $126-million project is funded through MAPS 3, MAPS 4, hotel tax revenue and other funding sources.
