Community Benefits

Extending the life of public buildings is a responsible way to manage investments made with taxpayer money. Proper maintenance and needed renovations paid for by inexpensive funding sources  saves money by avoiding deterioration and expensive emergency repairs or rebuilds.

New and renovated libraries improve access to information and improve our quality of life.

Examples from the 2007 Bond Program

Renovations to the Capitol Hill and Belle Isle libraries, plus the new Northwest Library.
