OKC hosts workshops to help shape OKC’s 2025 bond program
The City of Oklahoma City is seeking resident input as it plans for a general obligation (GO) bond election in fall 2025, in which voters decide to fund major infrastructure projects across the city. At the come-and-go workshops, people can visit face-to-face with staff about the projects.

ODOT awards City of OKC nearly $2 million in TAP grants for Safe Routes to Schools

New bike lane opens in NE OKC
A new 3.3-mile bike route is now open in NE Oklahoma City. The lane connects neighborhoods such as Capitol View, Springlake, and Culbertson to resources such as Metro Tech’s Springlake Campus, Homeland grocery store and the MAPS 3 Community Health, Recreation and Wellness Center.

MAPS 4 to begin construction on pedestrian bridge over Oklahoma River
Construction has begun on a bike and pedestrian bridge that will span the Oklahoma River at Eastern Avenue, north of OKANA Resort and Indoor Waterpark. The MAPS 4 pedestrian bridge will connect the trail on the south shore to the four-mile Greenway River Trail on the north shore.

MAPS 4 to improve 140 EMBARK bus stops in 2024
The City of Oklahoma City will improve 140 EMBARK bus stops this year in the first phase of the MAPS 4 Bus Stop Improvements project. The enhancements will provide ADA-accessible, covered transit shelters with security lighting, trash receptacles and bike racks.
