Oklahoma City Council adopts 2025 budget
The Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday adopted the City Manager’s 2025 budget. Visit okc.gov/budget to see the budget book. The operating budget, which pays for day-to-day operations, is $918 million.The adopted budget includes funding for 5,117 full-time positions, an increase of nine from FY 24.

Oklahoma City’s Memorial Day holiday schedule
No trash or recycling pickup. Makeup day Wednesday, May 29. Bulky waste pickup not affected. Free fares for EMBARK buses, OKC Streetcar and RAPID. OKC buses operate on a weekend schedule. RAPID operates on a 30-minute frequency from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. OKC Streetcar operates on a regular schedule.

Residents keep 125 tons of hazardous waste out of City landfills
Six hundred and forty-five Oklahoma City residents dropped off 250,612 pounds of ammunition, medications, computers and tires during the City’s annual Special Collection event held on April 6 at the OKC Fairgrounds.

Work underway to repair retaining wall along portion of Lake Hefner Trail
One-tenth of a mile of Lake Hefner Trail between Hobie Point Road and Portland Avenue, near Stars and Stripes Park, is closed for 90 days so contractors can fix a retaining wall.

OKC Utilities confirms safe drinking water amidst EPA's new regulations on PFAS
