Phase 3: Adoption

Adoption of new zoning and development regulations: Once draft codes have been developed, they will be forwarded to various recommending and legislative bodies, including Planning Commission and City Council, for recommendation and approval. The adoption process will require multiple public meetings that will provide additional opportunities for public input.

Adoption of new zoning map: Once the new zoning and development regulations have been adopted, another public input process will commence related to how the new zones are assigned across the City. The community engagement process will be similar to that of Phase 2 with surveys, focus groups and workshops.
