This project will install a combination of protected bike lanes, multi-use trail and sharrows from SW 3rd St to NW 18th St, connecting the Farmers Market core OKC neighborhoods to the north. While a portion of bike lanes on N Classen Blvd will be completed by a separate Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) initiative, this project takes the opportunity to connect to the existing bike lanes on N Western at NW 18th St.

Also included is the City’s first fully protected intersection, commonly called a “Dutch Junction”, where cyclists are more safely able to navigate through traffic turning movements. Expect to see this new intersection design at N Western Ave and W Main St, and learn more about it here.
