preserveokc is Oklahoma City’s first citywide historic preservation plan, developed to identify tools and policies for the identification, recognition, protection and revitalization of Oklahoma City’s historic resources. preserveokc is an implementation element of planokc, the City’s comprehensive plan and is identified as one of the purposes of the Historic Preservation ordinance (Chapter 59-7250.1, I., of Oklahoma City Municipal Code). The Historic Preservation Commission adopted the plan on Jan. 3, 2020, recommending it to the Planning Commission and the City Council. The Planning Commission adopted the plan on April 9, 2020, and the City Council received it on July 7, 2020.
