September is EMSAcare month in Oklahoma City. From Sept. 1 to 30, Oklahoma City residents may change their membership status with the ambulance service. EMSAcare covers the out-of-pocket expenses for emergency ambulance transports ending at a hospital ER anywhere in the EMSA service area.

A new 3.3-mile bike route is now open in NE Oklahoma City. The lane connects neighborhoods such as Capitol View, Springlake, and Culbertson to resources such as Metro Tech’s Springlake Campus, Homeland grocery store and the MAPS 3 Community Health, Recreation and Wellness Center.

The Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday adopted the City Manager’s 2025 budget. Visit okc.gov/budget to see the budget book. The operating budget, which pays for day-to-day operations, is $918 million.The adopted budget includes funding for 5,117 full-time positions, an increase of nine from FY 24.
